Teaching and Learning for
Flight Instructors (FI)

Is your ATO offering a comprehensive initial flight instructor course? We can support the Teaching & Learning segment required by the EASA Air Crew Regulation for the issuance of a Flight Instructor Rating.

Our course aims to equip flight instructor candidates with essential knowledge about human learning systems. We cover key topics including:

  • Memory formation, recall, and retention mechanisms

  • Perceptual limitations in learning

  • Individual learning differences among students

  • Motor skill development and in-aircraft learning methods

  • Effective briefing, debriefing, and classroom teaching techniques

We are dedicated to providing new flight instructors with a robust skillset from the start of their instructional careers. Upon completing our course, candidates will be adept at evaluating the effectiveness of various teaching methods based on their understanding of learning systems. This enables them to implement optimal teaching practices and avoid less effective approaches.
